Tommy Hools的《All Soul's Night》并没有打动我，在听过之后也没有收入囊中。《Shut Up! Early Works & Remixes, Vol. 1》恰恰相反，放入唱机中就没有拿出来，直接结帐走人。这位Cam的法国同仁也没忘了搞搞友情（和某些同学谈的不一样！！！），第一首曲目便是安排了Cam的Barcelone。这种Down Tempo般的基调一直蔓延到之后的Terranova、Kid Loco等，原来早期的Tommy Hools是这样搞的。“Le Couchant”、Seep的“Manchester”等留下非常深刻的印象。《Shut Up! Early Works & Remixes, Vol. 1》还显示出Hools在Instrumental Hip-hop极具潜质，如果他搞张比较纯粹的器乐风格的唱片，我该会毫不犹豫的带回家。 DJ Q-Bert － Demolition Pumpkin Squeeze Music

Q-Bert令人尊敬。在推出那张《Wave Twisters, Episode 7 Million: Sonic Wars Within the Protons》可以载入Turntablism教科书的名盘后。Mix Album《Demolition Pumpkin Squeeze Music》会使所有喜爱diggin'老唱片的乐迷惊喜，你可以听到Rush、Sugarhill gang、JB、Fat Boys等声音又或者某一个lo-fi老电影的片断，以及Q-Bert化解的辨认不出却又熟悉的Beat和音乐。如果我们说Shadow的音乐更强调的是内容和Cut n' Paste技巧，那Q-Bert是将内容和Scratch技术完美结合的一个。这是张我钟爱的Turntablism唱片，Mix Album中绝对的No.1。 marley marl......fuck Originally posted by djlinza at 4-15-2006 20:26:
