How do you produce your illustrations together as a team?
Depends on the project. Some things are done completely by one person or the other, most are collaborations in which dan kind of art directs and worries about the technical stuff and kozy does all the hard parts - mainly the final drawing. When doing the drawing kozy pulls from photo reference and dan's sketches and mixes them with her own twisted notions. Dan then brings the drawing into the computer and cleans it up. Then kozy and dan paint different parts of the same drawing on different computers until they meet up in the middle (or something like that).

What inspires your illustration and art work?
I'm like a sponge. Everything in some way inspires me. I love a lot of folk art and religious art (though my style is far from that). I should also add that I'm not religious nor do I practice it. I love the imagery of religious art and the reaction it generates (negative or positive).

What inspires your illustration and art work?
In my illustrations , I have quite the affinitiy for things I grew up absorbing and looming over for hours on end, ie. comic books, cartoons, children's books, anime, graffiti. These are cultural phenomenons in their own right and they definitley burned themselves on my subconscious. My paintings and drawings have these inspirations as well, but, I look to societal issues, religion...the writings on the wall in human nature. The urban toxins that grow beautiful inhabitants-such as, architecture covered in aged graffiti, old storefront signage, and the ravages of time in general. And, of course, the faces of the people who reside in such places and the art they create by just being.

What inspires your illustration and art work?
Everything around me inspires my work. At the moment I'm really into finding old treasures and recycling them. Old books, magazines, postcards, record covers and other bits and pieces I can get my hands on. I love hunting down things that have been hidden away for years and years and then bringing them back to life. Other than that, I'd have to say friends, music, puppy dogs, happiness, sunshine and lots of crazy colours!
