我死也想不通这个理由。表告诉我是平等博爱，没有利益在背后，这样的东西对于群体来说根本不存在。
而当时北方那点活儿，自家兄弟们都抢着干了，所以也表告诉我是为了廉价劳动力。至于说廉价原料，我倒。难道没人算过帐，不要钱的黑奴是降低成本的好方法吗？解放了他们，只能让棉花涨价！！

我们以前学美国历史文献选读的时候学过一篇WILLIAN BYRD的Letter to John Perceval, Earl of Egmont。与这个有点关系。

前言：Writing his old friend John Perceval, Earl of Egmont. on 12 July 1736. Byrd condemns the effects of slavery on his countrymen the effects of slavery on his countryman, claiming that the presence of slaves makes the whites proud and unwilling to work, and that the whites must be "severe" because the blacks are "insolent." He also asks for an end to the slave trade to America.

Numbers make them insolent, & then foul means must do, what fair will not.

可是还是搞不懂，at the very beginning, 完全就是一群人跑去干一件对自己而言无利可图的事，他们心里是怎么想的。。。不可能每个人都有william的觉悟吧。。。
英国方面，在宣言过后就自然随风倒了，倒是不难理解。

至于信里面的说法，这个，，，此人似乎当过律师？
