Sopor Aeternus - Dead Souls
Anna Varney2003年的出品,Es Reiten Die Toten So Schnell中我最最喜欢的一首了。感觉他每张专辑里都有那么几首类似“打榜”的歌,旋律朗朗上口的那种,颇能让人一听就喜欢上,而那些沉溺到死的灵魂哀歌得慢慢细品才成。当然,在音乐水准上这两者没什么区别。和那些纯正的新古典团体比起,Sopor Aeternus可以看成是批着新古典外衣的歌特族,音乐的构架依然是很“摇滚”的那种,尤其是其他团体所没有的很现代味道的鼓和节拍,尽管这些节拍可能是用很古典味道的乐器所演绎。这首“死魂灵”就是如此。喜欢其中朗朗上口的旋律,十分有味道和回味的,其中那段小提琴真是非常伤魂的(为什么DARKWAVE里的小提琴总这么有杀伤力啊?)。歌词即和专辑标题相呼应的,关于一个不死的种族,浪漫到极至的吸血鬼王朝,“隐藏在慈悲的阴影里,避开可怕的阳光,我们是黑夜被诅咒的孩子,生来是为了猎杀,几千年的世纪以来的我们挣脱了生命的枷锁,每一天都受着不死的痛楚。”你又可以看到Varney那苍白如死灰的身影,靠在石壁的角落,喃喃自语那些可怕的传说,眼神涣散,嘴角流出鲜血。那些低沉的自语听来让人内心有哭泣的欲望,却不是因为哀伤,而是一种莫名的害怕。
