今日歌/31 (03/03/17) [Ne Me Quitte Pas (If You Go Away)]

说起"Ne Me Quitte Pas"，听流行/爵士多些的同学绝对不会陌生——不知曲名但只听旋律便立认出来。
那末，作者是何人呢？比利时老牌歌手Jacques Brel也。这是他的No.1名曲来。
这首在英语世界让美国词作者Rod McKuen于1966年的译作"If You Go Away"后，
翻唱者鹊起，不可计数，单我手上的英/法版本就有二十多个。
可以推想得到，其中各种流行/爵士歌手翻玩的版本自然占主导，也没有太多好推荐的；
那么就只挑近两年的、非traditional vocal pop人士的翻版出来提提好了。

有时真怀疑Siobhan de Maré是不是天生有哮喘，听她清晰地唱歌很累，在这首里幸亏还好。……
有一点特别的地方是，副歌部分，Robin的吉他的调刻意降得比人声的调低，
这样会很冷艳，但，让人有游泳时想往水面浮去喘口气却有双手在水下拖住自己的脚的感觉。
这样很累人啊。——最讨厌的cover。

<b>Natacha Atlas "Ne Me Quitte Pas"</b>

对于喜欢让装饰音盖过主旋律的Natacha，听她翻这么正儿八经的歌需要有心理准备。
鉴于前一张"Gedida"里翻Francoise Hardy的"Mon Amie La Rose"的良好印象，
这回翻"Ne Me Quitte Pas"倒是有点失望。还能怎样呢，想像她边唱边跳肚皮舞的模样吧。
装饰音太多，有如以“保护古迹”的名义把古代民居修成现代楼宇——最遗憾的cover。

听过一堆男人翻版，结果是原作者的Jacquel Brel自己的版本最出人意料。
Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Enrico Macias……哪个不是小心翼翼循规蹈矩地重现每一个音符，
倒是Jacquel自己，唷，你意欲“海飞丝”地随曲而游，他却来一路紧跟骚扰，刻意打散。
听着零落的钢琴，不知怎的想起了Nick Cave……最不合适学唱的……原版。

高中时我把Patricia声线的感觉比喻成“一团团猪肉飞扑到脸上”，多年之后再听倒不一样了。
专翻电影插曲情歌名作的新碟"Piano Bar"里是“敦实”依旧，多的是几分醉眼妩媚。
法国人唱法语歌，十分在理，但她取的英语版本，却更见甜美低回。
这也是最时髦的翻玩，特别是Remix里的Hip-hop拍子，有点苦又诱人去吮的黑巧克力糖。
——最好听的cover。
