Kirsty Hawkshaw "Leafy Lane"

以前说Kirsty如一只“雪鸽”，她像矛盾的结合体：天使坠凡尘声线让人心静如水，但似乎只爱配arousing的蹦的舞曲。她这张个专是很好的新尝试（转型？），可惜长得有点过头，整张听下来叫人抓不住要点。不过，总比Anneli Drecker那张强。"Leafy Lane"大抵可以满足Lounge/Chill-out族，大抵还可以……满足喜欢自称被月光谋杀的小资族。

Jaxx……好了我们不提他，因为他抗议我们把他跟这个俗队扯在一起。其实如果不是听说这首"Broken Dreams"是用了一首西班牙小曲的旋律，如果不是Sha这位名不见经传的女甜甜，我也不曾留意。小号，口哨，是没法制成标本的轻盈的海风。

Plaid feat. Nicolette "Extork"

凡是有Nicolette的，我都拥戴，I'm her No. 1 fan。不曾记得她何时令我失望过。（发现我喜欢的唱歌的女人都与美女无关。）跑题，这歌的主角明明是Plaid。唔，原谅我，实在不熟识Plaid，虽然有人叫他们IDM。

Sneaker Pimps "Johnny"
["Roll On" Single, 1996]
再谈Kelli Dayton (Ali)时期的Sneaker Pimps就只有浪费口水了……在大碟"Becoming X"被人研究得秘密尽失八卦全无的如今，能在细碟B面里翻出这样一首歌来实在是值得大为尖叫。同样是翻唱，这首"Johnny"比大碟末尾的"How Do"的原曲、七十年代一部Cult电影的插曲"Wicker Man's Song"还要老得多。是老民歌。老民歌总是那么一个模子，固定的几句曲，填上穷举排比似的唱词段落，从头至尾都老实巴交，连副歌也少有抑扬顿挫。两位男士的Trip-hop设计才是highlight，于老歌的朴素上粉以“后现代人”的狡毒；而Kelli的唱固然清甜醉人，也不过是一麾诱客的幌子。

DJ Times: Where does the kitchen-sink approach to your music come from? Like the sample on “Broken Dreams,” where does that come from?

Buxton: It’s actually a “Spanish Holiday” record I bought in an old people’s charity shop. And that’s just kind of…well, the sample you hear at the beginning is only one side of the track because the left and the right are really separated. We just had the one sample and the flute is on one side of the recording, so we kind of stripped it out of the beginning. And now, hearing it at the beginning, it is kind of ridiculous. Just hearing the beginning of the record before, and the sample, it’s like, “That sound is lovely.” Forgetting the flute by itself, the vibe of the thing going round and round, that was cool for me. That will give me the right vibe. And with the trumpets coming in at the second half, I was really into the Buena Vista Cuban jazz, that whole thing. So it’s kind of giving it a bit of that feel and a bit of a dream feel.

Rooty这张在Pitchfork只有3.8分，笑死

我还清楚的记得，看过的某文章称此女为“回声女皇”。。。。

然而对我来说，NICOLETTE在PLAID中歌路无多大变化。
”虽然有人叫他们IDM“，
就是这些“他们”，看见WARP的队都说是IDM。。。明显的97年的这张专辑要高明得多的，ABLA EEDIO前六十秒已经让人无法抽离。。。。。。。。去掉衬底的流行电拍，大概好多只人就将它列入此年原音电子绝佳类咯。。。

我觉得她的个人专辑会更好 plaid也帮她弄了个混音 no government。

no government在第一张里就有了，两分钟长
第二张里的新版本不知是谁做的，六分钟长
同在第二张里，又有一个Plaid Remix

所以，一共是三首

最近听一张Biosphere的混音专辑Biosystem里面第一首混的就是no government，dachy说的第二首可能就是这个版本。

一首歌曲完全有可能在两张专辑重复呀，
还有你说的这个第二首明明就是标着“原始版本”，这是怎么回事？

相对于同碟里那个plaid mix取的名字

"第一首"和“第二首”的编排完全不同
前一首(92年)是奇怪地干滞的breatbeat
后一首(96年)就是大家熟悉的版本

你说的biosphere那个版本是他们的remix
最早不是发在他们自己那什么..system里
而是nicolette的no government 12寸细碟：
A1 No Government  produced by Plaid
A2 No Government For Partycrashers  produced by Plaid
B1 No Government In Dillinja's Jungle  remix by Dillinja
B2 No Government In The Biosphere  remix by Biosphere

后来biosphere自己放到自己的REMIX集子里

大碟里的original version明显不可能是bisphere，风格。。。
